Helpful Information about Establishing a Tennessee County Website

The TNGenWeb Project has a Regional Coordinator system. These
coordinators are there to help with any problems which you may
encouter. If personal circumstances arise and you are unable to
update your county for more than 45 days or your query pages within 3
weeks, please notify your Regional Coordinator.
- Many free graphics, including a variety of TNGenWeb logos,
backgrounds and a tutorial on using color can be found at:

You will need FTP (File Transfer Protocol) software to upload your pages to the server. Please
ask your Regional Coordinator for recommendations.
Instructions for using the various FTP applications will be
provided with your password and user id, if needed.

You may use any text editor to code pages, but if you are new to html
coding, you can seek assistance from the Technical Coordinator or other
TNGenWeb Coordinators.
