STATE OF TENNESSEE, Executive Department:
I, Newton Cannon, governor of the State of Tennessee
aforesaid,hereby certify that the officers, noncommissioned
officers, musicians, and privates, whose names are enrolled
on this roll, were duly called into service, and their
services accepted by me, during the summer of 1836, under my
proclamation of June 6, 1836, to meet a requisition of the
Secretary of War, dated the 25th day of May, 1836.
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand, and caused
the great seal of the State to be [L. S.] affixed, at Nashville,
the 30th day of August, 1837.

I certify, on honor, that this muster-roll exhibits the
true state of Captain Patrick Callaways company of the
Tennessee mounted volunteer militia, under the requisition of
the Secretary of War, dated May 25, and Governor Cannons
proclamation of June 6, 1836, for the period herein mentioned;
that the remarks set opposite the name of each officer and soldier
are accurate and just, and that said company continued to hold
itself in readiness for service from date of organization to July 15, 1836.
