STATE OF TENNESSEE, Executive Department:
I, Newton Cannon, governor of the State aforesaid, do
hereby certify that the officers, non-commissioned officers,
musicians, and privates, whose names are enrolled upon this roll,
were duly called into service, and their services accepted by me
during the summer of 1836, under my proclamation of June 6, 1836,
to meet a requisition from the Secretary of War, dated the 25th
day of May, 1836.
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand, and caused the
great seal of the State to be [L.S.] affixed, at Nashville, the 30th
day of August, 1837.

I certify, on honor, that this muster-roll exhibits the true
state of Captain Willie B. Watkinss company of the Tennessee
volunteer mounted militia, under the requisition of the Secretary
of War of May 25, 1836, and Governor Cannons proclamation of
June 6, 1836, which was received by Governor Cannon for the period
herein mentioned ; that the remarks set opposite the name of each
officer and soldier are accurate and just.
