The Hash family of Warren County are descendants of John Hash of Grayson County, Virginia. His family were French Hugenots (Hache) from France who settled in Buncombe County, Virginia and then moved to Grayson County. The Hash family built Fort Osborn during the Revolutionary War. John Hash had two sons, William and Thomas who moved to the Rock Island area in Warren County. HASH - EARLY GRANTS AND LAND TRANSFERS
The Hash home was located at the top of the bluff on the

The road was at the top of the bluff at this point and the house on the
opposite side. (1972 - House still standing.) [1999 - House
