I am attempting to add more detail and documentation to my genealogy. These names represent part of my mothers side of the family. Shewas born Roane county 1923 and her mother Cora Hampton was born inRoddy (Rhea) county. Trying to follow Hampton line. John "Wash"Hampton was married to Rebecca Kirkland. have just discovered an entry in Hamilton Cnty Early Settlers that"David BECK came to the area (Ham Cnty) from Rhea Cnty abut 1822..."that was new information to me; so i have now begun looking into Rheacounty and located one BECK on the 1819 tax lists; Jacob BECK islisted on Capt. John Lewis's district. The 1830 census index liststwo BECKS: J.H. (30001 - 00001) on pg 357 and Jacob(02000001-10300001)pg. 369. Any additional information would surelybe welcomed. I am looking for any information on the wife of Christopher Myersborn in 1847 in Meigs County. He is on the 1880 census with severalchildren and married to M. ( Mary) Myers near his father Lesly Myers. In 1882 he remarried to a Martha Myers in Marion county. Mygrandfather Oscar B. Myers was born in 1881 so something happened tohis mother. MCBRIDE, GOFF

I am trying to locate the names of my G-G-G-Grandmother parents. Her name was Sarena McBRIDE. Family oral history states that she was a full blood Cherokee. She married William Ishom GOFF on January 21,1831 in Rhea County, Tennessee. I would love to know if any other McBRIDES are still in the area and can they confirm thier Cherokee heritage? Martin E. PAUL and Nancy CREWSE received a land grant in 1831, RheaCo, TN. Hardy CREWSE later mortgaged the land, and in 1855 RufusCREWSE sold this same land and moved to MO. 1830 census Nancy is headof household and Martin CREWSE is head of household in house next toher. 1840 censu Nancy is still head of household Mary Ann CREWSE ishead of household next to her. 1840 Martin E.
