In looking at
the Rhea page I see there was a James REGESTER who wasa hotel prop.
and I wondered if anyone would know if he might berelated to a Lydia
REGISTER who married a John HOLMES (HOMES?) andlived in nearby Roane
County in the mid-1800's. They are both buriedthere. I have never
found any trace of any other REGISTERS in anyRoane records, so I
thought maybe she came from a close county.

Emma (possiblyEmmaline) Day Pugh and my great-grandmother Rebecca
Moore Pugh. Emmawas born around 1885 and was married to Ernest

David Kyle came to Rhea County
after the war with the Union around1870, his wife already had familty
in Rhea who cames earlier,fromBotetourt County, Virginia ,my
grandfater was born in Rhea in 1903his father was William Preston
Kyle he married his 1st Cousin NannieKyle they are buried at I
believe Coulterville Cementary I was therewith my grandfather in
1962. I was there looking for it 5 years agowith no results, my

My gggrandfather was JOHN MCCLENDON. He was
an early settler of RheaCo. He had many children, and I decend from
DENNIS MCCLENDON & MARYBRADY. I looked into Cumberland Co., and they
stated that theMcClendon's were one of the earliest to settle there.

RIGGS, b.May 11, 1852 d.Sept. 15, 1912. Married Jan 6, 1885, to
