CHIEF KEYATOY, CAWOOD, BERRY
Cherokee Chief KEYATOY signed the Treaty of Lochaber 10/18/1770. Esther BERRY, b. abt. 1729, is believed to have been his daughter. 3great grandchildren claimed on their applications to the Guion MillerRoll of 1907 (#39582, 32094, & 39084) that they were told by parents& grandparents that she was Easter Keewood, Cherokee woman, Ideal ofher Tribe. She married Stephen CAWOOD and is my ancestor. Anyinformation appreciated. Thanks - Mary
