News From your County Coordinator

November 8, 2008	Announcing a new cemetery project! We have already started to analyze each known cemetery in Perry County. For each cemetery we will: list all known transcriptions and note any differences; list transcriptions of each marked tombstone; upload photographs of each tombstone -= as they are sent to us; upload photograph of each person buried - as they are sent to us by you; Burns Cemetery was just completed. Please visit this page to see what a "finished" cemetery page will look like. This is an exciting project and one that I know will be extremely helpful to visitors of this website. If you have photographs of your ancestor or his tombstone, please email them to me. You will notice that we have just started putting the analysis of each cemetery on this site. As I receive photos, either of your ancestors or their tombstones, I will give priority to that cemetery and work on that analysis before the others. So send in your photos today!
October 22, 2008	I have a question for you. While I was going through the marriage records in the 1860s and 1870s, there were several ministers of the gospels who performed the marriages. Below is the list. If you know which church they were affiliated with, I would appreciate knowing that, as well as the source of your information (bible record, obit, family story, etc). Please go to the churches page and let me know of any of these ministers.
