           Stephen D. Hodges, 55, retired employee of B. F. Goodrich, died Thursday following a sudden illness at his residence, 834 Richardson St.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Tarpley's Chapel by the Rev. Calvin Reagan and the Rev. Clyde Brake. Burial will be in Greenwood.
           Mr. Hodges was born in Montgomery Co. Sept. 24 1917, son of Mrs. Selina Rye Hodges, Clarksville. and the late Joe Hodges.
           Survivors in addition to his mother are his widow, Mrs. Virginia Vaughn Hodges: a son, Gary S. Hodges, U. S. Navy, Rota, Spain: three daughters,  Mrs. Mary Alice McKinney, Dover: Mrs. Billy Faye Clement. Dickson. Tenn., and Mrs. Patricia Clark, Reseda, Calif.: two brothers, Burney Clarksville, and Joe Hodges. Cape Kennedy, Fla.: three sisters, Mrs. Ester Baggett and Mrs. Mamie Bryant, Clarksville. and Mrs. Clara Dowdy, Henderson, Tenn.: five grandchildren.
           Pallbearers will be Vester Adcock, Calvin Hodge, Wayne Bearden, Ray Bowman, Phillip Allen, Howard Robertson, Ralph McCauley, Johnny McKinney and Homer Terry.
