Obituary of
Mrs. Hadley Allen
September 13, 1978

Services for Mrs. Hadley Allen, 91, will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at Tarpley’s Funeral Home by the Rev. Ellis Felts and the Rev. Jeff Fryer. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Allen died at 1:10 p.m. Friday in Palmyra. She was born in Clarksville Dec. 15, 1877, a daughter of the late John S. and Pattie Gholson Neblett. She had lived here all her life.

Mrs. Allen was a member of Palmyra Methodist Church, the Women’s Missionary Society, and at one time taught high school in Clarksville.

Survivors include a son, Nathaniel H. Allen, Palmyra; a daughter, Mrs. Robert W. Ritter, Lewisburg; two sisters, Mrs. Reid Lyle and Miss Kate Neblett, both of Nashville; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
