Obituary of
Mr. Fred D. Allen
September 27, 1978

 
Fred Douglas "Napple” Allen of 511 Ninth Street died at his home Wednesday after an illness of several weeks. A retired construction worker, he was a native of Montgomery County.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Foston Funeral Chapel with the Rev. S. N Davis officiating. Burial was in Foston Memorial Gardens.

He was the son of the late Therlow and Elnora Moody.

Survivors include his wife, Maudie Southall Allen, a son,,Fred Douglas Allen Jr. of Clarksville. a daughter. Patti Lovette Allen of Clarksville, seven step-children; Lee
Haywood, Charles Haywood, Cleotis Haywood, Vicie Haywood, Dell Haywood, Jesse Haywood and Terry Haywood;  two brothers, Herman Allen and Robert Allen,
both of Clarksville,  a sister, Emma “Laddie” Morrow of Detroit. and five grandchildren.

Allen was a member of St. Peter A.M.E. Church.
