I'm looking for the descendants of William Linton (1821-1889) who
lived in Henderson county and who had 10 children including Henry
Forest Linton (1867-1914), my great grandfather. The other males of
the 10 children of this William Linton that I believe had children
included Emerson Linton (1859-1940) and Robert C. Linton (1862-1935).
I have a listing of the children of Emerson Linton and the child
(Robert L. Linton) of Robert C. Linton from the 1930 census but
nothing on their marriages, children or deaths which would help me

Looking for the grave of Sarah Wilkerson Lindsey. She married Henry
Clay Lindsey in Henderson Co. Tenn. abt 1867: Henry is listed in the
1870 & 1880 Henderson Co. Census, but are in Collin Co. Texas in 1900
Census. I was told that she died and is buried in either Texas or Mo.
I was also told that some of there children returned to Henderson Co.

Johnny HUGUELEY and Esther GRAHAM. They were residing in
Chester,Henderson Co. at the time of her death in 1976. She had four
daughters and three sons. Vernell Hugheley MULLINS was residing

father's name was HICKS, Rolla Howard, and Everett's Grandfather's

Looking for relatives connected to George Washington GILLIAM. Married
Sarah Jane MOORE in Henderson county 1855. Is in 1860-1870-1880
census then moved to Texas. They have two children buried at Chapel
Hill Cemetery, John & Mary. Cannot find on 1850 census and do not
know if he is related to other GILLIAMS in county at these times. I

I am looking for the family of John H. Ross b.1850. The 1880
Henderson County census show him born in Tennessee. He married Susan
Brewer b.1850 from Anson County, NC. in about 1875. Children are
Minnie, Avis, Arthur Felix, Dennison, Hal and Charles (Charlie). He
later lived in Madison County Tennessee. Susan's mother was Sarah
Threadgill b.1826. The Threadgill family moved to Henderson County

Andrew HUBBARD is listed as "boarder" in the household of my
grandfather Richard "D.P." ALLEN in the 1900 Henderson County, TN
federal census. Andrew HUBBARD's birthdate is given as June, 1880,
and his birth location is given as Tennessee. Since my ALLENs came
out of Maury County, TN after 1850 and are suspected to have been
somehow related to the JOHNSONs as were the HUBBARDs there, I am

I am looking for John Isaac ABERNATHY who left Henderson County about
1890 (He lived near Sardis , Tn) and arrived in Hunt county, Texas
later that same year. He married Mary Finetta REAVIS, possibly in
Henderson County, TN. He had a brother Sam, who we think may be
buried at the Sardis, Tn Cemetery. He may have had a sister named
"Tennessee" Abernathy. His father may have been John Wesley Abernathy
or John Milton Abernathy. John Isaac Abernathy had several children,
most of which were girls: Dera, Pearl, May, Cora, Jewel, Sammie. He had
one son: Wesley Milton Abernathy. Did John Isaac Abernathy come from
Henderson County and is there any data concerning him and his family
or Mary Finetta REAVIS family? He lived in North Hunt County, a
community named Kingston, and was killed by a train at Kingston about
the mid-1940's.

The 1840 record doesn't give much info. What was David's wife

Shock MURCHISON was my grandfather, he married Maude COCHRAN, I think

Searching for information on Carrie Louise LAWLER Lowrey who died in

I am searching for Stone family ancestors who would have come from

I’m trying to gather more data on and confirm the name of the first
wife of PETER MCBRIDE PEARCE.
He was born on 10 August 1840 in Mifflin Tennessee and died on 8
September 1904 in Collinsville Texas. The Family Folk Lore is that he
abandoned his first wife (?Saluda J. Dickey/Dickie?) who he married
in 1862 in Mifflin and came to Arkansas, Randolph County with their 2
children, Jerry Newman Pearce and Richard Haynes Pearce. She may have
been an Indian. Also, we think she is buried in the Randolph County
area. His father Samuel Pearce was born in Camden County, N.C. and
moved to the Mifflin area in the 1830s. His brothers Jeremiah and
John as well as his sister Polly came to Tennessee too.

Please provide any information you can regarding the following
families. First, Madison County: Bill Thomas,1875; Viola Thomas,
1885; Jonas, 1904; Willie, 1905; Joella, 1908; Melva, 1910; Estella,
1912; Myrtle, 1914; Claude; 1915. These are all my great aunts and
uncles. Please provide birthdates and possible death dates if
available. Regarding Festus Bridgewater and Anna Mae Green. I don't
have any further information other than they are my grandfather's
parents and I know little of them. He changed his name to James
Brown when he moved to Michigan and the only information we have is
that his real name is Perry James Bridgewater and that his parents
are the above persons. It is unknown to the family if he has any
brothers or sisters. He ran away from Springfield, TN in may 1940's
or 1950's due to severe legal issues. If this helps any please let
me know. It was told to us that he committed murder and ran to
Michigan changed his name and that was that.

Searching for info on Evan E. HUGHES, b. bef. 1765, possibly NC, m.
Hannah unknown. He and Hannah removed from Chatham, NC, ca. 1834,
died bef. 1840 in Henderson Co., TN. Hannah was living with son, Jos.
J. in 1840 and 1850 Henderson, TN census records.
He and Hannah had a son, Evan E., b. 1807, Chatham, NC, who married
Hannah Bray, also migrated to Henderson Co., along with siblings
Joseph J., Elias, Winnifred H. Redfearn, Sarah "Sally" H. Hinson.
The younger Evan E. was a justice of the peace in Henderson, TN. He
and family migrated to St. Francis, AR in 1851.
Where was the elder Evan born, and who were his parents? Where was

Trying to connect Andrew Jackson WALLACE to other Wallaces in
Henderson Co., TN area. He was b. ca. 1833 TN, living in Henderson
Co. TN 1850 with a MACKEY family, 1860 in his own household. In 1870
was in Mississippi Co., MO, 1880 Wright Co., MO, 1890 Chester Co.,
TN, 1900 and 1910 in St. Francois Co., MO where he died in 1917.
He married Sallie MESSER (dau. of Henry and Grace MESSER) 1849
Lexington, TN. He served with 11th Illinois Cavalry during the CW.
He married 2nd Frances Caroline WILSON, dau. of Wm. WILSON and
Frances Caroline (GILLIAM) Reneau Wilson. The GILLIAMs in Henderson
Co. are the family of Frances. Frances and children were in Lawrence
Co., AL in 1850, but in Henderson Co., TN in 1860 census.
